Victor “Vic” Keller graduated from Wauseon High School in 1943 where he set three NWOAL scoring records and three WHS records in basketball. Vic earned a total of nine varsity letters in basketball, football, and track.

Vic lettered four times in basketball, earning league honors in all four years (first team his junior and senior years) as well as Honorable Mention All State in 1943. Vic’s NWOAL records were 37 points in a single game, 177 points in a season, and 438 points in his career. He also held Wauseon school records of 848 points in a career, 68 varsity games played in a career, and a WHS track record in the 880. Some of Vic’s school records stood for decades.

Vic was very active all four years of high school in 4-H and FFA, receiving a FFA State Farmer degree in 1943. After high school Vic went on to serve his country in World War II in the South Pacific. He has been married to Wanda Johnston for 59 years, and together they raised three sons, Stephen, Gregory, and Kevin. Vic retired after 36 years at General Motors and currently resides with his wife in Defiance, Ohio.
